What is A.I Up To

In this world whether we like it or not everything is starting to be turned into a playground for technological companies and new advancements to make life living a little easier. Whether it is another Tesla Car being introduced to the world, robots being unveiled, or a new phone to the market consumers like us make it our new obsession because of all the hot new features. Whatever it is all the companies will make sure it has some aspect of it including Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI is the new thing that all companies are introducing into their gadgets to get us as consumers' attention for us to buy it. Don't get me wrong a lot of people are on the artificial intelligence saying this is great it is going to benefit us in the long term.
A lot of the famous technology CEOs have other things on their minds about this including the concerns. According to the presentation, Bill Gates " I am in the camp that is concerned about super intelligence," Gates said in an answer to a question about the existing threat of AI. He then said, "First, the machines will do a lot of jobs for us and not be super intelligent. That should be positive if we manage it well." Gates, the next thing he said is I think where the world is at now which is " a few decades after that, though, the intelligence is strong enough to be a concern." Gates is right companies we all know and love are starting to incorporate this way of intelligence into everyone's day-to-day life so that all of us can use this idea in everyday life. Elon Musk has even had his doubts about being careful with it and that it's a big existential threat that we probably have to worry about and be careful with.
So Bill Gates and Elon Musk have both had their moments of talking about artificial intelligence and how it could be dangerous, doubtful, and something to look out for shortly as the world is developing things. Then there is something to think of ALL people have their doubts on how this Artificial intelligence is supposed to be handled in this world today.

Out of all the slides I thought learning about Alan Turing was interesting:

Alan Turing according to the slides is considered the "Father" of Artificial Intelligence I have never heard of his name but learning about how he developed the Turning test in the 1950s, which is " a test of a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behavior equivalent to, or identical from, that of a human. Turing proposed that a human evaluator would judge natural language conversations between a human and a machine designed to generate human-like responses. I found that very interesting that somebody can think to create that type of thing. When looking him up on the internet and what he is known for, he is famous for his work developing the first modern computers, decoding the encryption of German Enigma machines during the Second World War, (and what I mentioned above) detailing a procedure known as the Turing Test, forming the basis for artificial intelligence"(Aron).

Overall, artificial intelligence is something a lot of people can be proud of whether or not they have played a part and creating something close to it! It is something the humans on this earth right now have to be careful of because it can come out and replace us depending on the job field we might be in and how smart it can be.
